Dear Lovers,

We are Fred & Laurie Martin. We made our original weekend May 1987 in SE Florida. Marriage Encounter has been our family for over twenty years. Through the years we have journeyed with many of you and helped celebrate Baptisms, Communions, Confirmations, Graduations and Weddings for your children and now even grandchildren. What a joy! You have been with us in good times and bad, sickness and health. Our lives have been entwined and we thank God for all of you.

In April, this year we said yes to the area leadership. We were open because we know that the community is there and will help lift us up and keep Worldwide Marriage Encounter strong and weekends going. We ask not just for physical support but spiritual support to help us on this journey.

Recently, we were looking through our box of little banners; the most tattered was from our first weekend. We had forgotten it simply said “YOU ARE NOT ALONE”. The message reminds us that God walks with us all each and every day.
